How to Renew Your Kansas Real Estate License
Everything you need to complete your 2-year renewal — KREC requirements, the fastest path, and where students trip up.
What Kansas requires
- 12 hours of KREC-approved continuing education every 2 years
- 3 of those 12 hours must be the mandatory Required Core — the rest are electives
- Steady Education reports your completion directly to KREC — you don't submit anything yourself
The renewal process
- Before your expiration date: complete all 12 KREC-approved CE hours
- Pass each course — KREC requires at least 90% on the quiz and exam questions of every online course
- We report your completion to KREC for you, within 3–5 calendar days (KREC's rule allows up to five calendar days) — nothing for you to submit
- Renew online with KREC and pay your renewal fee
Fastest legal path
The fastest way to satisfy every KREC category:
- Buy the Complete Kansas CE Package — $39.99 covers every mandatory hour
- Complete each course online at your own pace (any pace)
- Pass, then we report your completion to KREC within 3–5 calendar days — no certificates to file
- Renew your license online
